A "Must-see" for Today's Youth

Nowadays televiewing has become a favorite pasttime or an integral part of day-to-day routine of most Filipinos. But definitely, not all t.v. shows are suitable for our children. I'm sure you agree with me if I say that there's much violence and sex on t.v. these days.

I'm calling the attention of all parents and teachers. I'm highly recommending a show on KNOWLEDGE CHANNEL which is handled by young people from different parts of the country. I'm referring to KABATAAN EXPRESS which is a production of KABATAAN NEWS NETWORK (KNN) primarily sponsored by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in coordination with the award-winning PROBE spearheaded by veteran broadcast journalist CHE-CHE LAZARO.

My daughter JEA, a third year high school student at ALABEL NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL, is one of the moving figures behind KNN-Sarangani Bureau. She's been with KNN since first year high school. I was delighted when she told that she'd joined KNN. It has become an avenue for her to
learn things outside the four walls of her classroom.

Kabataan Express is the voice of today's Filipino youth. Through this show we see our young people deal with timely issues/facts as well as everyday activities we see around us.

It's high time to encourage or if possible, impose intelligent televiewing in homes and schools.
